Happy Vietnam Veterans Day...

Tomorrow, March 29th, is in the Congressional process of being designated by Resolution as "Vietnam Veterans Day."  It was introduced by Senator Richard Burr, R-NC, on March 26th.  It was then assigned to the Senate Committee on the Judiciary.

As usual, Congress is Johnny on the Spot with their timing.  This might get reported out of committee in a few weeks, and then passed by voice vote, likely sometime in May...of this year...maybe.

Let's see, the war ended for the US in 1973 and we pulled out of the US Embassy in Saigon in 1975.  Why...that was 40 years ago.  And what was significant about March 29th?  

March 29th marks the anniversary of the 1973 date when all of the US combat units and all of the US combat support units finished the full withdrawal from South Vietnam. 

Now there's a date to live in infamy.

And here you all thought folks had stopped spitting on you.
