Latest Update on BWN AO Bill HR 543

A little less than a month ago we had 105 cosponsors for the bill.  Now, three weeks later, we have 114. 

We hope no one reading this thinks that is good progress.  It isn’t.  Frankly, if we were a congressman we’d get the idea nobody in the Blue Water Navy community wants this bill. 

Here is a list of who has signed on.  If your Representative is on this list, send them a letter thanking them for their support and reminding them to support and fund the bill when it goes to the floor. 

If your Representative is not on this list then you have much work to do.  You absolutely must get to that representative and get their support.  You know the issues by now.  There is no reason for a poor showing like this.  Your failure to accomplish the task of gaining your Representative’s cosponsorship for HR 543 doesn’t just affect you and your claim, it affects the entire Blue Water Navy community.  All those shipmates who depend on each other to pull their share of the load and the share of the load of those who simply cannot due to their illness, are being let down by those who are not getting the job done.  Imagine if your ship was in combat and at a critical moment you failed to act.  You could very well cause the loss of your own life, the lives of others, and perhaps even the loss of the ship and its entire crew.  You know that, or should know that from your time in the Navy. 

Those Representatives work for you.  Let them know it, and let them know what they need to do!  

Remember, these have signed on!  Thank them.  If your Representative is NOT on this list get after them!

over 265 supporters more than enough to pass the bill and nothing happen.We as a combat viet nam veterans have again and again have been spat in our face and treated like garbage.Our so called armed forces have not done enough in the separation of this so called boots on the ground b.s.
We are almost all dead..maybe that's why we don't have suporters.I find that a lot of veterans and people do not know whats going on with this bluewaternavy.k

I don't know where you are getting your information but as of today, there are only 116 cosponsors for HR 543
